Postharvest Application of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens PMB04 Fermentation Broth Reduces Anthracnose Occurrence in Mango Fruit

چکیده
Anthracnose is a destructive postharvest disease of mango fruit, especially after ripening. The application antagonistic Bacillus spp. strains one many promising control strategies. B. amyloliquefaciens (PMB04) exhibits strong activity against anthracnose in strawberry yet has not been explored for fruit. Among seven tested rhizobacterial strains, PMB04 exhibited the strongest inhibition Colletotrichum gloeosporioides (Cg) growth. demonstrated better inhibitory Cg mycelial growth than fungicides pyraclostrobin and difenoconazole. A fermentation broth (PMB04FB) was prepared tested, showed superior efficacy reduction severity mangoes compared to suspension, difenoconazole, or pyraclostrobin. We further found PMB04FB increased mortality ratio conidia. Our study demonstrates that treatment with an effective method represents strategy processing.

Methyl jasmonate reduces chilling injury and maintains postharvest quality of mango fruit.
Exposure of mango (Mangifera indica cv. Tommy Atkins) fruit to methyl jasmonate (MJ) vapors (10(-)(4) M) for 24 h at 25 degrees C reduced chilling injury during subsequent storage for 21 days at 7 degrees C and after 5 days of shelf life at 20 degrees C. The chilling tolerance induced by MJ was positively correlated with the reduction in the percent ion leakage of mango tissue. The overall qual...
متن کاملApplication of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens as probiotic for Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) cultivated in a biofloc system
Probiotics can improve growth, survival and resistance to pathogenic organisms of the cultivated species in aquaculture systems with water recirculation. However, their possible benefits on biofloc systems have been less studied. In this study, the benefits of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens bacterium, on a biofloc culture of Litopenaeus vannamei were evaluated. B. amyloliquefaciens was applied as d...
متن کاملAn overview of preharvest factors influencing mango fruit growth, quality and postharvest behaviour
Mango, a tropical fruit of great economic importance, is generally harvested green and then commercialised after a period of storage. Unfortunately, the final quality of mango batches is highly heterogeneous, in fruit size as well as in gustatory quality and postharvest behaviour. A large amount of knowledge has been gathered on the effects of the maturity stage at harvest and postharvest condi...

متن کاملPostharvest Quality of Mango (mangifera Indica L.) Fruit as Affected by Chitosan Coating
The effect of coating with irradiated Crab and Shrimp chitosan (CHIirr, Mv = 5.14 × 104) and un-irradiated Crab chitosan (CHIun, Mv = 2.61 × 105) on postharvest preservation of mango (Mangifera indica L.) fruit was studied. Irradiation at 100 kGy and 200 kGy of both Crab chitosan and Shrimp chitosan were used and the fruits were stored at 15°C ± 1°C and 85% relative humidity for 6 weeks. The ef...
